St. Timothy’s Church has been a vibrant force for good in the centre of Scarborough since 1911. The engagement of St. Timothy’s with the needs of the community is expressed in many ways:

Food Security
• After school snacks for Chester Le Public School Program
• Healthy Snack program for Scarborough Boys and Girls Club
• After school program support for Agincourt Community Services Association
• Regular food donations to ACSA Food Bank, plus extra at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter
• Emergency food aid to families in Scarborough
• Mary Cave Milk program

Children and Youth in Scarborough
• Summer Camp for Children
• Bursary to graduating student at Stephen Leacock
• Native Child and Family Services

Homeless and those Living Marginally
• Thursday Hot Lunch program
• Wednesday Breakfast for the Homeless
• Sock and Mitten drives
• Host Out of the Cold program twice per year
• Advocacy, counselling and agency referral for the poor, homeless and marginally housed
• Advent Gift Tree – proceeds to needy Scarborough families
• Festive dinners at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas for Thursday Hot lunch guests, and Summer BBQ, Birthday Cakes
• Christmas gifts bag for each guest

Financial Assistance
• Supports ACSA through provision of Sheppard Hall without charge, for children’s programs
• Bus tokens and emergency financial relief for homeless

Pastoral Care
• Funeral and counselling support to any person of Anglican background in community
• On-call emergency chaplain for Scarborough Hospitals

Wider Community
• Clerical involvement in city and national advocacy initiatives
• Emergency financial relief ($5000) to Anglican hospital in Gaza
• Teddy bears to St. John’s Convent
